Down in the Garden

Ok, so the first UFO for 2013 to come out of my new Sewing room is....

I started working on this quilt in 2010.
In 2010 the centre block travelled to the far reaches of the world. It has been to Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Greece and even Egypt, and last week it had a little holiday to Hong Kong. It is terrific plane stitching, but now it is time to make a real effort and attempt to complete the quilt top.

18 hours on the plane has meant that I have almost completed the centre block!

Progress to date... before Hong Kong....

It's a good feeling to work on a UFO, and this one will be lovely when finished.

I am so jealous that you can sew while travelling. I take travecalm and still can't look down for too long without getting queasy!
Your blocks look lovely and I'm sure Leanne would be pleased for you.
I've got the fabric for the Vignette mystery quilt (from the beginning of the magazine) that I am yet to start. I am hoping that it will be this year! Fabric is all pressed and ready to go; Cosmo threads have been put aside so nothing happens to them! Now I just need an opening.

I just love those colours! That looks like so much fun but I'm going to resist starting yet another new project...except...well, you know how it goes! Love this! It's gorgeous!

Cheery wave!
