Week 40-School Holidays

LOOK what has arrived!
Now for the moment of truth, will she work in Australia?
And she did!
Miss Ruby sews beautifully and is just wonderful!
Spring has arrived in my garden! I love this time of year,
the sky is blue, the weather is warming up and my garden is in bloom.

Our first long walk, 15 kilometres of scenic walking, climbing up and down steps and hills
around The Cataract Gorge and Duck Reach.
It was fun but I was a bit warn out and foot sore afterward, nothing a relaxing bubble bath,
jelly beans and a snooze on the couch didn't fix though.

Queensland-Sea Surf and Sand

After several holidays to Surfers Paradise we have finally done it.
Well Andrew did it really....went swimming in the sea!
Look at my gorgeous man - David Hasselholf's look alike! ;-)
I was also brave, taking off my shoes and getting sand on my feet! Arghh!

It actually felt great, very relaxing!
We had a lovely morning at the beach!

Queensland-Breakfast at the Surf Club.

Sunrise on Broadbeach.
I could get used to this life-style!
Out for a morning walk with Deanie.
Andrew finally convinced us that the Kurrawa Surf Club, despite its 1970's carpet
was a good place for breakfast. It was ok, just!

We have had a lovely time with these crazy people.
I can't wait to catch up and do it all again in Sydney in January!

Queensland-A night out with Good Friends

A delicious meal out with Deanie and Andrew at the Oasis in Broadbeach.
Lots of drinks, giggles and fun!

Kelsey came to dinner with us too and then took us to Max Brenner.
A Chocolate Chunk Cookie.
OMG it was massive and way too sickly.
I can tick Max Brenner off my bucket list now!

Week 39-Queensland-Pub Crawl

After a pretty stressy term at work we both decided we needed some fun in the sun.
7 nights in Surfers sure will fix most ailments.
Waiting at the airport for our plane.
I love morning beach walks in Broadbeach.
A drink or two...
Or three...
On our very first day we walked along the shoreline stopping at surf clubs and pubs along the way.
We do enjoy each others company and our very special  pub-crawls.

Week 38-Cuddle Weather

The end of  a very cold Term 3!!
My friend Deb became a Grandma this week so I made her daughter Kirsty this Mother Goose quilt.
Training for Point to Pinnacle continues.
There is no better way to spend a cold Friday night than having cousin snuggles in
Uncle Andrews bed with Milly! They both look very tired and sleepy.

Week 37-Training to Climb a Mountain

Point to Pinnacle training is revving up! Our homework for this week was to walk the Zigzag track over and back twice in one session. We needed to do this session twice in the week.
We will have buns and thighs of steel when we finish, but at the moment those buns are pretty achy!
Nicky and I after finishing Homework session 1.
We sure have a glow on our faces!
Good times and we became faster, and believe it or not it did become easier!
Spring is definitely here.
My first coffee on the deck in the sun.
I love this view!
Homework session 2 on the Zigzag track with Merilyn, Nicky and Peter.
 Ohhh, me knees!!
I have had very little sewing time lately but I did make time to make this hotty-bottle cover for a Swap I am in in November. I think I need to make myself one too.
It has been the year of the Dilly Bag. Here are 6 that I have made for gifts to date.
I think I love them all but my favourites are possible the first 2??
Miss Ruby is on her way. She has left Utah and is heading to her new home!
I hope she has a safe journey!
