A Bauble Weekend!

We have had a quiet weekend here.
Both of the girls went to The Launceston Show with friends yesterday while Andrew and I spent time in the garden. Today Andrew took up residency on the couch and watched hours and hours of car racing (Bathurst) so I went to visit and stitch with my poor friend Meredith. She was feeling a bit low as last weekend she fell in a hole and broke her leg at Bridport.
Thanks to Sarah I managed to make labels for my Christmas baubles. Check out the tutorial on her blog. They are very easy and effective to make.

The baubles are complete and ready to go to Ross in November for our "Tassie Blogger's Get-together." Meredith gave me lots of advise and I put them altogether at her place this afternoon.

Here is a sneak peek at Miss 16's birthday quilt. I had promised Alex a special 16th birthday quilt, unfortunatley we had a little difficulty finding a pattern and fabric that she "loved" for longer than a couple of weeks. So, seeing as she will be 17 at the end of November I took it upon myself to "chose" for her. Her room is black and white and she loves purple so I think this will be a winner!!!!

On a bit of a sad note. My poor little neice...Miss Ruby had her sweet finger shut in the door this afternoon. She has just come out of surgery and seems to be fine. She lost the top off her right middle finger. Ouch...You are so brave Miss Ruby Duby!!

Love your felt ornaments - the labels just finish them off. Hope your little niece makes a speedy recovery. My son had a similar injury last year - very traumatic.
