Well life is back into full swing. As many of you know I work for the Tasmanian eSchool (Distance Education) and on Friday I felt a little like "The Royal Flying Teacher" as I headed off into the wilderness to visit with one of my wonderful students, a very special young lady named Holly. On the way I saw this very great view - Mt Rowland is in the background.
After work the Primary team had a get together on "The Deck" Oh, I just love our new house, it is such a great place to be with friends. The idea of the evening was a few drinks at my home and then to walk into town for a meal, however it was such a lovely night we stayed on the deck until late chatting, laughing and discussing all things female....
This is Chris, a young man who has not had the easiest of lives. He was in my Grade 2 class in 1989 (my second year of teaching) During that year he was hit by a drunk driver and spent his next years in rehabilitation. Last year Chris was the victim of a viscious attack. On Saturday his Mum arranged for Chris to come out of hospital for a few hours and invited people to visit with him. After all he has been through he still had a big smile on his face and cheekily spelt out my name when asked if he remembered me.
I am managing a little sewing, although it has been way too hot in my sewing room so I have only been stitching and working on a few secret projects in the comfort of the air-conditioned loungeroom. I did however, find my 2010 FIS Block of the Month quilt blocks. These blocks are sitting on my sewing table. They have been waiting patiently now for over 2 years but once the weather cools down they are on the top of my to do list....

Some people get dealt a horrid hand in life. Looks like your deck party/staff meeting was a lot of fun.
You have been a busy girl,
You've been busy! Poor boy...I hope the perpetrators were prosecuted! I love your quilt blocks made from Rouenneries fabric, right? We had that entire line of fabrics and they sold right away. I didn't even get to keep any for myself! Try to stay cool! Cheery wave! Bev
